Ward off the pesky mosquitoes through smart precautions
Using mosquito repellent is a technique to defend against severe mosquito bites. Yet there are additional steps you might take to keep these bugs away. Mosquitoes are very active during the evening as the sun sets and at early morning as the sun rises. Staying indoors at dusk and dawn is a wise move. You can get bitten even during the day. Still there are generally lesser mosquitoes buzzing around. If there are lots of mosquitoes in your neighborhood, complete the outdoor errands and chores during the mid-day. Most mosquitoes are just out from evening to sunrise, so you’re less prone to get bothered throughout midday chores.
Covering up is another way. Wear long pants, long-sleeve shirts, socks, and closed-toe shoes, and a cap as you venture outside. Tuck your shirt into the pants and wear tighter pants to thwart mosquitoes from sneaking in your clothes. When it’s hot outside, this might be the final thing you desire to do. But it’s a way to avert mosquito bites with no chemical repellent. Wearing a mosquito repellent bracelet won’t make you wear such heavy clothing. Use your fans, moving air gives a hard time to mosquitoes landing on you. If you’re sitting on a porch, turn on the fan.
Mosquitoes rear in standing water, so eliminate it. Remove things in your yard such as plastic covers, open buckets, trash can lid, flower pots where water may accumulate. Change the water of the bird baths daily. Keep the pool water treated and circulating. Still swatting away mosquitoes as you’re enjoying a relaxed nap? Can’t rest outdoors without hearing a constant buzz near you. Try mosquito bracelet repellent from Moskeeper®. It is fairly dissimilar from the other plastic or coil bands you may have seen, it just feels relaxing as an added precaution.
