Use Your Creativity to Make a Mosaic Picture Frame
A family photograph shows gap-toothed young smiles; shadow of age and celebration of a new born, with the absence of someone moving on. Photograph is an everlasting asset that grows in significance and worth with time. When moments turn into years, and years turn into decades, family transforms. Families grow with the birth of new members, change with the course of time, and occasionally bid goodbye to adored faces. Therefore, a decision to record the past with family photos is a nice way to treasure the present or remember the past.
Framing a nice family photo in a pretty fabric art frame is possible with mosaic products. You can make a mosaic tiled picture frame for yourself. Firstly, wear the safety glasses. Score around the neck of a red glass bottle using a glass-scoring tool. Break along scored line. Slice mosaic pieces from this bottle using mosaic tools like glass wheel nippers. Slice mosaic pieces from any mirror. Use a rock tumbler to tumble pieces for 20 minutes and eliminate sharp edges. Use white acrylic paint on the frame and let dry. Glue the red glass pieces to this frame. Glue mirror pieces on frame in the bottom-right and top-left corners in a star-shape. Let it dry.
Add masking tape to shield frame areas that won’t be grouted, including the center and around the perimeter. Combine dry grout with water to make a batter. Put on latex gloves, put grout over mosaics, inside the spaces between glass pieces. Use a damp sponge to clean the piece. Grout edges must be even and clean. Dry the grout overnight and seal your night-sky mosaic frame using a 50/50 mix of glue plus water. Use a foam brush and sprinkle some mosaic art supplies like glitter. Clean it with a glass cleaner. Your frame is ready for use!
