The Top 5 Upcoming Videogames in 2015-16
Video games allow us to do the things we could never do in real life, that is, not without landing up in jail at least, or ending up dead. From games on Sisyphean tasks to the ones that seem to defy the laws of physics (or the laws of reality for that matter), here we are going to make a quick countdown on some of the best upcoming video games of 2015.
Fallout 4 – (Xbox One, PC, PS4)
Fallout 4 begins in Boston hundreds of years after the nuclear apocalypse. Here our heroes emerge from the mysterious shelter, Vault 111 200 years later to a new wasteland just waiting to be explored. The characters this time around seem to have more personality than in previous versions and much more knowledge which makes surviving this irradiated wasteland easy, or does it. Players will however have a lot more to do in Fallout 4, from making new friends to killing mutants.
Guitar Hero Live - (Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, Wii U and PS3)
Warm up your fingers because you’re in for one wild ride with Guitar Hero Live. Six buttons and two rows are all you will need to string together the most amazing guitar riffs from rock and pop classics in the comfort of your living room. Guitar Hero Live allows the player to visit backstage, hang out with a live action band and walk out to the thunderous roar of an ecstatic crowd, just waiting to hear you play those notes. The new game also offers players with a new feature called Guitar Hero TV service that allows players to challenge themselves with new and more complex songs.
Rise of the Tomb Raider – (Xbox 360, Xbox One)
With Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara Croft is back with yet another amazing adventure. This time, Croft is faced with the ultimate challenge of not just surviving the journey, but to find a personal purpose that she is not as crazy as everyone says she is. Croft finds herself locking horns with a well funded shadow organization that is willing to do just about anything for success. The game will also feature loads of new adventures for Croft, from combating a bear to an in depth crafting system and the return of some of the most detailed tombs you have ever seen anywhere.
Halo 5: Guardians – (Xbox One)
With Master Chief gone AWOL and Cortana possibly dead, there’s a new breed of Spartans on the prowl. Halo 5: Guardians gives us new twists in the plot and the changes are all terribly exciting. Oh, and did we mention that you now get aim-down sight too. The franchise sees a change in developers, from Bungie to 343 Industries, who have done a pretty good job at making the game’s presentation gorgeous and the game play interesting, with an interesting storyline that makes sense and is enjoyable for the squad-based game play we are all so used to. Halo 5: Guardians is all set to bring an exciting and refined multiplayer gaming experience.
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate – (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
When it comes to best upcoming video games, Assassin’s Creed tried and true game formula seems to work once again with Syndicate. Here we follow the twins who are trying to win their city back from their nemeses. This time around, all political opposition has been eliminated and the brothers find themselves going against a very well organized shadow government. Our assassins also now have a grappling hook to jump from one roof top to the next. The twins can also fight on top of moving trains and carriages, making the fight sequences even more exciting. For the most part, the fighting sequences are much more up close and personal, which makes Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate so much more enjoyable than the previous game.
Adr1ft – (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
In Adr1ft, you wake up as an amnesiac astronaut and the sole survivor of an unexplained event which has left everybody dead and the space station in tatters. Your mission is to get home and not die before you complete it. The game also supports Oculus to make things look a little more realistic as you’re floating around, but don’t waste too much time because you’re running out of oxygen as well.
Ending Note
So, these were the names of some of the most noteworthy video games that are about to get released this year. We’ve technically already played all of these games, but why stop here. These games will take you on epic adventures, battle terrifying creatures, beat down aliens, and engage in some cheeky banter while you’re at it.
